BYD and JD.com Group join forces to build a digitalized supply chain infrastructure for the automotive industry

On the afternoon of March 16, a strategic cooperation agreement signing ceremony between JD.com Group and BYD was held at JD.com headquarters in Beijing. BYD Chairman and President Wang Chuanfu and JD.com Group CEO Xu Ran attended the ceremony and witnessed the signing. Wang Bo, General Manager of BYD's Procurement Department, and Wang Peinuan, Executive Vice President of JD.com Group, signed on behalf of their respective companies. Li Wei, Director of BYD's President's Office, Tian Chunlong, General Manager of BYD's Commercial Vehicle Business Unit, Hu Wei, CEO of JD Logistics, and Song Chunzheng, CEO of JD Industrial, among others, attended the signing ceremony.

Xu Ran extended a warm welcome to Wang Chuanfu and his delegation, offered her congratulations on BYD's achievements, and briefly introduced JD.com Group's strategy and cooperation in the automotive industry. Among them, JD.com Auto will leverage its own online and offline omnichannel layout, full-domain marketing, and Brand user capabilities to cooperate with BYD in vehicle sales, corporate cooperation, marketing innovation, user operations, battery maintenance, etc., striving to bring car owner users a full-chain ultimate experience in automobile consumption. JD Logistics will leverage its warehouse resources and distribution network throughout China and overseas, as well as its accumulated industry experience and technological capabilities in digital supply chain and warehouse automation, to provide BYD with pre-production parts, after-sales parts inventory management, order fulfillment, and international logistics services, helping BYD optimize inventory costs, shorten delivery cycles, enhance customer experience, and guarantee Brand overseas expansion. JD Industrial, based on its professional digital system capabilities, resource-rich industrial product supply chain, and accompanying overseas service capabilities, will cooperate with BYD in the field of digital procurement through the "Taipu" digital supply chain solution, jointly exploring the construction and upgrading of digital procurement systems in the automotive industry, and helping enterprises increase efficiency and reduce costs in procurement.
